Your Testosterone Is 'Normal.' You Shouldn't Feel This Way.
Physician-prescribed. Lab-monitored. Integrated with your entire health plan.
Testosterone Affects Everything
Testosterone isn't just about libido or muscle mass. It's a master hormone that influences:
- Energy and cognition — Low T is a leading cause of brain fog, fatigue, and poor concentration in men over 30
- Body composition — Testosterone regulates fat distribution, muscle protein synthesis, and metabolic rate
- Mood and motivation — Optimized testosterone correlates with reduced anxiety, improved drive, and emotional stability
- Hair and skin — Hormone balance directly affects hair density, skin quality, and visible aging
- Cardiovascular health — Emerging research links optimized testosterone to improved cardiovascular markers
- Sleep quality — Testosterone influences sleep architecture and recovery
By age 35, most men have already begun a gradual decline of 1–2% per year. By 45, many are symptomatic. By 55, the decline is significant.
The question isn't whether your testosterone declines. It's whether you do something about it.
Our TRT Protocol
Comprehensive Consultation ($250)
You meet with Dr. Valle — not a nurse practitioner, not a PA, not a telehealth chatbot. He reviews your symptoms, health history, lifestyle, and goals. This is a real physician consultation.
Advanced Blood Panel
We don’t run a basic testosterone test. Our panel includes total testosterone, free testosterone, SHBG, estradiol, DHT, PSA, CBC, CMP, lipid panel, thyroid markers, and additional markers based on your history. We need the complete picture.
Personalized Treatment Plan
If TRT is appropriate — and it’s not for everyone — Dr. Valle designs a protocol tailored to your labs, your symptoms, and your goals. This includes testosterone type, dosage, delivery method, and ancillary medications if needed.
Treatment Initiation
Depending on your protocol, treatment may include injectable testosterone (most common), topical gel/cream, or pellet therapy. We discuss the pros and cons of each with you.
Ongoing Monitoring
Follow-up labs at 6 weeks, 12 weeks, and quarterly thereafter. Dr. Valle adjusts your protocol based on how your body responds — not based on a one-size-fits-all dosing chart.
Integrated Health Optimization
TRT is one piece. We connect your hormone optimization to your IV therapy, your aesthetics, and your functional medicine plan. This is what makes True Roots different from a TRT clinic.
In-Person Physician Care vs. Telehealth TRT
| True Roots | Telehealth TRT | |
|---|---|---|
| Physician relationship | In-person with Dr. Valle every visit | Video call with rotating providers |
| Lab work | Comprehensive panel drawn in-office | Basic panel, often mail-in kit |
| Physical exam | Yes — part of every assessment | No |
| Monitoring | Regular in-person follow-ups with Dr. Valle | Questionnaire-based, automated |
| Dosage adjustments | Based on labs, symptoms, AND physical exam | Based on labs and self-reported symptoms |
| Combined services | TRT + NAD+ + Folix + Botox + functional medicine | TRT only |
| DEA-registered physician | Yes | Varies |
| Pricing | $199–249/mo (a la carte) or $399/mo (OPTIMIZE) | $99–199/mo |
Telehealth TRT is convenient. We won't argue that. But convenience has limits.
You can't do a physical exam over Zoom. You can't draw comprehensive labs through a mail-in kit. You can't build a real physician relationship with a rotating cast of providers. And you definitely can't walk upstairs from your TRT appointment and get a Folix treatment, an NAD+ infusion, and a Botox session.
If you want a testosterone prescription mailed to your door, there are cheaper options. If you want a physician who knows your name, reads your labs, examines you in person, and connects your hormones to your overall health — that's what we do.
Signs You May Benefit from TRT
- Persistent fatigue that doesn’t improve with sleep
- Decreased motivation or drive
- Brain fog or difficulty concentrating
- Loss of muscle mass despite consistent training
- Increased body fat, especially abdominal
- Reduced libido
- Mood changes — irritability, anxiety, low mood
- Slower recovery from workouts
- Hair thinning or changes in hair quality
- Sleep disruption despite good sleep hygiene
Experiencing several of these? It's worth getting your levels checked. Not every man with these symptoms needs TRT — and we won't prescribe it if you don't. But a comprehensive blood panel will give us (and you) the information to make an informed decision.
Important: We don't prescribe TRT to patients who don't need it. If your levels are normal and your symptoms have another cause, Dr. Valle will tell you that — and help you address the actual issue.
